About Faith
I am a grassroots community organizer and a human rights defender. I coordinate Kayole Community Justice Center.
As a young girl growing up in one of Nairobi’s informal settlements was tough. Showing emotions was always seen as a sign of weakness and I always found myself struggling to bottle my emotions up. As a survivor of gender based violence I found the need to support survivors and victims through their healing journey important.
I always wanted to create a safe space where people could express and be themselves without being judged. From the continuous human rights violations and the oppression in the community the need for this grew even more.
About Kayole Community Justice Center
