Sisterhood Strategic Framework on Crisis & Care
Urgent Action Funds (April 2024)
We face a world in crisis. A world in need of care and healing. A world in need of transformation. We believe in the power of feminist movements to lead us there – and we know they face steep challenges along the way.
The Urgent Action Sister Funds were made for this moment. Since 1997, they have leveraged their unique feminist rapid response model to accompany women, trans, and non-binary activists and organizations as they respond to crises and build the solutions we need for people and planet to thrive. In this paper, they offer a summary of their Crisis and Care framework, which asserts that care must be the bedrock of crisis response.
